Learning to Crochet

For so long now I have been wanting to learn to crochet but with a lot of things I never got round to it.  So to make sure I actually follow through with it this time, I have decided to document my journey in learning this new craft.  I’m not going to a class to learn I am going to get my mum (who is fantastic at crochet) to teach me and use some of the many books I have on the subject.  I always remember my Nan crocheting and I still have a couple of the blankets that she made me many years ago.

I have dabbled in learning before but I didn’t keep up with it and then it fell by the wayside.  I am hoping to be able to make blankets and cushions.  Eventually I would love to be able to make the little crochet characters I’ve seen in books and magazines.

Hopefully I can post pictures with my blog entries (although I’m not the most technically minded person) to show my progress (and mistakes!).

So wish me luck……

  • You can do it Claire. My Nan taught me years ago and I too want to get back into it. A friend gave me a step by step book for my birthday so will be starting again. There are so many pretty things you can crochet. xx
